Sunday Camp Corner

The countdown to a new year of Camp LetYourLightShine is right around the corner. We’re kicking things off in a big way this year on Sunday, September 13 at 9:30 AM! Our campers will get to meet their teachers, play some games, do a craft and have camp snacks!

There are a lot of new and exciting things planed this year including expanding our Community Outreach projects and involving the Junior and Senior High teens in those projects. We’re going to keep on singing and learning our Lord’s Prayer as well. We are splitting up the campers this year into three groups: Pre-K and K (Group 1), 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade (Group 2) and 4th and 5th (Group 3).

We all know that you need a spark to get a campfire going and in that spirit, we’re using brand new Sunday Camp material this year called “The Spark”. It will still be lectionary based so your child will continue exploring the Gospel lesson from church during Sunday Camp. Hopefully it will spark some conversations at home as well!

As always, we love to hear suggestions for improving your child’s Christian Education experience. We want them to have fun and look forward to coming each week! There is still have a need for teachers in the Winter and Spring, so please see Carolyn if you are interested in helping out.
